K-12 Outreach
Led by our Public Education Committee, these kid-friendly events and initiatives introduce K-12 students to the vital importance of the water sector and STEM careers.
The Public Education Committee is the volunteer team that spearheads NC One Water's K-12 outreach. Made up of water professionals and educators from across the state, the committee designs and leads hands-on programs that introduce students to water science, environmental stewardship, and the many career paths the water sector has to offer.
Model Water Tower Competition
Middle and high school students design and build working model water towers. Held regionally across the state, this hands-on engineering challenge is a favorite for students, parents, and volunteer judges.
