The NC One Water Annual Conference is held for members and non-members involved in the water and wastewater industries. The conference provides education, training, leadership, and networking opportunities through an engagement-first experience featuring
continuing education sessions, live competitions, and exhibitors.

From Monday, November 3rd, to Tuesday, November 4th, NC One Water will be hosting an array of competition events for your team to compete in. See below for dates, times, and more information.

Pipe Tapping
Description: Teams race against the clock to drill into a pressurized water main. It’s a fast-paced display of skill and precision!
Schedule:
- Monday, 9AM: Check-in at Competitions Area
- Tuesday, 9AM: Pipe Tapping Preliminaries
- Tuesday, 1:30 PM: Pipe Tapping Finals

Hydrant Hysteria
Description: Hydrant Hysteria is a timed competition that measures a team’s ability to completely assemble a commonly utilized utility hydrant as quickly and accurately as possible.
Schedule:
- Monday, 9AM: Check-in at Competitions Area
- Monday, 9:45AM: Hydrant Hysteria Preliminaries
- Monday, 2PM: Hydrant Hysteria Finals
Important Notes:
- The winner of this event will NOT qualify to compete at ACE 2026 as it appears there will not be an event at that level.

Meter Madness
Description: Who can assemble a water meter from a bucket of parts the fastest? Cheer on your favorite contestant in this test of speed and accuracy.

- Monday, 9AM: Check-in at Competitions Area
- Monday, 3:15PM: Meter Madness Competition
Important Notes:
- AWWA has not released what meters will be used at ACE 2026. If no information is released by the conference, this event will still be held, but the winner of this event will NOT qualify to compete at ACE 2026.

Operations Challenge
Description: The Operations Challenge involves a series of team events that test the skills & knowledge of various wastewater related activities. These events include Collection System, Pump Maintenance,
Laboratory Event, Process Control, and Safety.
Schedule:
- Monday, 9AM: Check-in at Competitions Area
- Monday, 12PM: Process Control Event, Safety Event, Lab Event
- Tuesday, 11:30AM: Pump Maintenance Event, Collection System Event

Hole and Saw Cut Relay Race
Description: In this high-speed relay race, teams compete to demonstrate their precision, speed, and coordination under pressure. Each team member is tasked with completing a crucial step in the hole and saw cutting
process.

In-state Teams: $50
